![]() Topic: Into Cerberon - Site NewsThe new items published under this topic are as follows.
Please note, I have deleted a number of what appeared to be spam accounts from the system. I apologize if any legitimate accounts were deleted by accident. Since the mod itself is inactive, I have had new-user registration disabled for some time now. Please let me know by email if your account was deleted in error and I will manually re-add it.
Also note that I have banned a number of IP addresses from access to chmodoplusr.com, mainly in China and Russia. These addresses were spamming the site. I have also blocked hotlinking of images in general. The site has been using a ludicrously high amount of CPU and bandwidth, given that it's basicaly inactive. Having all those spammer account "homepage URLs" was also not great for the site in general. Posted by: HeXetic on Mar 09, 2013 - 10:09 AM
Just a quick heads-up, if you want to try Into Cerberon but don't have Doom 3, Steam is offering a complete Doom package consisting of Dooms 1, 2, and 3 plus all of their official expansion packs for just $9 today. That's plenty of game for not much money, especially if you never played Doom 3. Fire up your Steam client and check it out!

Just a minor note, it was pointed out to me that the IC forum e-mail system was reconfigured; if you tried to register, the e-mail would have been sent from "postnuke@example.com", and so probably wound up in your spam box.
I have changed the system to use the correct address, intocerberon@chmodoplusr.com. Of course, e-mails from the site may still wind up in your junk mail regardless, but at least it's correct. If you tried to register recently and had trouble, please check your spam folder or try re-registering. If you still have problems, let me know at hexetic@hotmail.com and I can register you manually. I'd already disabled guest posting for every forum except General Discussion, but it appears that we CANNOT SHTOP ZE SPAMBOTS so I'm turning off guest-posting there as well. If you want to post in the forums, you will now need to register. Of course, you can still read as much as you like without logging in.

If you are reading this, then your local domain servers have been updated to reflect the new host for chmodoplusr.com. As a result of a prolonged PHP-related outage on our old host, as well as an annoying lack of support, I've switched hosting providers. Hopefully, this new host will be more stable than the last and we can avoid significant downtime.
Much work on IC 003 has been completed, and I'm going to push for a release in the next two weeks, dropping features if necessary, because it's starting to get a little stale. If you haven't already, check out the pictures of Jaspos' sweet-looking ic_tumbler in the forums and on moddb. Posted by: HeXetic on Oct 17, 2006 - 05:33 AM
Sorry about the downtime, folks. Had some trouble restoring the database after the server move, but it's all good now. We didn't lose a single post!
You shouldn't have any trouble with cookies or anything like that either; since the domain name didn't change, if you were logged in back on the old server, you should be logged-in just fine over here, too. Posted by: HeXetic on Sep 12, 2006 - 11:25 AM
Our host is switching servers, so there may be some site downtime in the next few days while DNS records are regenerated. Rest assured that site downtime will not affect 003 progress in the slightest; if you haven't already, check out the topic on the new hud I made a couple of days ago; the shield indicator is looking spiffy and we're planning on also having a graphical weapons indicator as well.

All we're waiting for to release IC 0.0.2 is a Linux build of our source code, but alas, the nice guy who helped us with 0.0.1 cannot be found! We would really like to get 0.0.2 out this weekend; if you have a Linux box and know how to build Doom 3 mod code, then please drop me a line at hexetic@hotmail.com.
